Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the chaperone to student ratio?
Per Diocese of La Crosse rules, it is 1 chaperone per 7 campers at minimum.
Is there a schedule of the week at camp?
There is a basic structure of each day at camp, but adventures are not announced ahead of time, due to various factors such as weather. For example, if rock climbing was planned for Tuesday, but it rained Tuesday, that would possibly alter the rest of the week as other adventures might be replaced/eliminated etc.
Here is a structure of each day to give you the general flow. All times subject to change.
7:30am: Morning Prayer (optional)
8:00am: Breakfast
8:30am: Rumble (Music/introduction to the day’s theme/announcements)
9:00am: Free Time
9:15am: Adventure or Activity
12noon: Lunch
1:00pm: All Camp Adventure Game
3:00pm: Cabin Time

*Scream and Dye (Ice Cream Making; Tie Dye)
*Climb and Fly (High Ropes)
*Free Time
*Waterfront
*Games in Hemlock

6:00pm: Dinner
7:00pm: Free Time
7:30pm: Ruckus (more music, a presentation on the theme, possibly a skit)
8:30pm: Jaw Time (Small groups with a chaperone, discussing and processing what insights were learned that day)

10:45pm: Lights Out
What are the sleeping arrangements?
Is transportation to camp included?
Yes, the cost includes transportation from Marshfield to Camp Crosswoods and back. The transportation costs are over $1,600, we are able to provide this at such a low cost thanks to the Chaplain’s fund. The only additional money needed would be for spending money for meals on the way to camp and back (fast food), and for anything they would like to buy at the camp store such as T-shirts, water bottles, etc.
Can non-Catholic students attend?
Yes! The week we attend is a Catholic week, so there is typically Mass, Confession, and morning prayer. Similar to the approach of Columbus Catholic Schools, there are Catholic elements and programming, but you don’t need to be Catholic to attend.
