Palm Sunday or Passion Sunday begins the most sacred week of our year as Christians. During the coming week we recall the last days in the life of our Lord Jesus Christ on earth; his passion, death and resurrection. I pray that this Lenten season has been a time of spiritual growth for our entire parish family, and that we will be able to truly celebrate the risen Lord in our hearts this Easter. This last week allows us to come close to Jesus on the cross. This is not a comfortable place to be, but without the cross, there is no resurrection. How do we come close to Jesus in these days of sorrow?
The best place to begin is with a good confession. On Sunday the priests of the Marshfield Deanery will offer a
penance service at OLP church. This is open to all that desire to receive this sacrament.
